It begins again!

Ever since we left Paris, which is much longer ago than it feels, we have been meaning to start a new blog of our regular life back in the States, but it hasn't happened. Until now. We are getting back on the horse, and will endeavor to do our very best to frequently post (or, as Justice Roberts in his hyper-grammatical wisdom would say, to post frequently) with random observations about our lives, photos of our goings-on (taken primarily on my fancy new camera!), and whatever else we feel like doing and sharing. Don't count on anything mind-blowing or exotic, just random stuff.
Oh wait, in about May you can count on something totally mind-blowing, which will be the arrival of our little one that Sage is currently growing. For now, he/she is named Phelps and is supposedly the size/weight of a rutabaga, but we looked at and weighed a real-life rutabaga at Whole Foods yesterday and determined that to be completely false. So don't believe what you read.
Okay, that's all for now. I will begin by posting a handful of photos taken with my fancy new camera (Canon 30D) that I received from Sage and Gary for my 34th (eek!) birthday a few weeks ago. Lucky me! That will at least give you an idea of what our January 2009 has looked like.
Enjoy!

Emily

Having seen the rutabaga at Whole Foods, I too am doubtful of that. The long-necked squash Sage found seemed much more accurate. But, as someone who has actively avoided pregnancy for oh, ever, I'm not sure I'm the best one to say.

My babyblog post today also included observations on the ridiculousness of those food-baby comparisons. Awesome pictures, Emily.
